Dining at Grasshopper is an experience. It should surely be on your to-do list if you ever plan a trip to Bangalore. Tucked away in the outskirts of the city on Bannerghatta road Grasshopper is beautifully done over a vast farm house owned by Sonali Sattar and Himanshu Dimri. It’s a place where everything about your taste palette is taken care of.
You need to call in and book your table for a 7 course meal. Post your reservation, Sonali will call you back and take down your preferences of meat, vegetables and plan a special meal for you and your special someone. Trust me, you should just do a couple outing rather than a full family or friends outing. It’s best to go by 7 pm so you can eat all of 7 courses at leisure and enjoy the variety that they put forth.
Sunny and I visited Grasshopper on my birthday and what a fabulous meal we had!! The tummy never enjoyed green leaves and cheese as much in a very long time. What also exited us were the dogs that inhabit the farm house! Dining was indeed a pleasure.
I seriously have no clue of what all we ate as most leaves and vegetables seemed alien to us!! Anyway, the pictures would explain the beauty of the food and its presentation. I just remember the choices we had in the desserts – Mustard Ice Cream with Chocolate Truffle, Lemongrass Cheesecake and a couple more. We went ahead with the mustard ice cream and some coffee based dessert as we knew we wouldn’t get the mustard ice cream anywhere. The ice cream hits you at first. But as you eat more and more, you are surely going to admire their effort of putting together a great ingredient.

My verdict: It’s a perfect place for a good romantic dinner for the adventurous type!!
